Question by mustard seed: What’s the difference between loving your boyfriend but not being in love with your boyfriend?
I know you can love your family and friends but not in a “couple’ way. But how can you know when you actually love your husband/boyfriend, but not really in love with him? Can it work, if u married him still?

Not usually, not, especially being young….if one partner is not totally in love with their spouse, highly unlikely it will work…which is why people shouldnt get married too young, …
In love, is when he still makes your heart skip a beat, when you cant wait for your hubby to come home , and tell him of your day, its a very deep sense of longing and desire for them, its involves all the emotional aspects of romance as well, ..
Just “loving someone”, …is a sense of caring, such as you love your family, well its the same for someone of the opposite , husband or boyfriend, or not, you can love them, just as you would your brother or sisters, …but in love , involves all the other emotions.
So again, no, most marriages are not going to survive without being in love and why should it, or why would anyone want it too. Life is too short to be in a marriage without all the benefits of having a partner which you are in love with.

“being in love” is passive; “loving” a man means you’re working to build a better relationship with him, taking positive action to make the next day better than the last. It’s said too often that love is a journey rather than a destination. You shouldn’t just sit back and expect love to happen to you — you have to work for it. Keep loving your boyfriend, or husband, or long-term relationship partner or whatever, and keep working on making your love better, and you’ll wake up one morning to find that you’re “in love” with him and you barely noticed when love came to stay. (By the way, he has to be working on it too.) Good luck.
